Lasting exposition of village’s history. Small gallery is part of the Memorial. In October 2003 the second part of history and homeland exposition was opened in building of local Nursey school .It is interested in local people’s life in first half of 20th century. Instalation is conected on historical summary about Raškovice‘s history and persons of consequence, who had relation to the village. The exibition is created by reconscructed interiers of local people’s houses, according to period sources, from epoch of 1. world war. Most of the things in exposition, are presents of inhabitants. Also Valašské open-air museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm lent some of them. Architect Savo Novák , who is autor of architectonic resolution, has got great merit on appearance of installation and Brothers Ručkové with chievlibrarian in local Library, Marie Zemanová provided realization of project with support of institution Forests of Czech Republic. Exposition is enjoynable mainly for seniors and pupils of basic schools. It is opened during opening time of library and after adice note. Because exposition was opened, the idea of local countryman Jaroslav Ludvík Mikoláš, who was important Silesian patriot, came true. He Published already in the twenties of last century his propsal for institution historic and ethnic museum, interested in people’s life in Beskydy and Pobeskydí. Memorial’s patron is local Association of national history and geography. Surprise for visitors are arrangement and historical things according period notes about celebrating Christmas in local famillies. For interest of comunity, Municipal office, who is founder of Memorial, is preparing bigger flexibility in opening time during the summer. They will add Saturdays when Raškovice is frequented turistic centre. Opening time : Tuesday 12.30 - 17.00 Thursday 8.30 - 12.00 13.00 - 17.00 Saturday since 15.6. to 15.9. 13.00 - 18.00 Possible to order a visit during other days. Accesibility : A bus stop is cca 300m from the Memorial, the nearest railway station is situated in Frýdek-Místek.
